It's all about bragging rights. And at this year's Van Schaik Inter-Res Soccer Tournament, sponsored by Van Schaik Bookstore and held over the weekend of September 2-4, that honour went to Groote Schuur and Forest Hill. In the women's event, Groote Schuur pipped Liesbeeck Gardens 3-2 in the final. Forest Hill then just got the better of Glenres (Glendower) in the men's showdown, eking out a 1-0 victory. The winning teams received gold medals and prize money for their endeavours.
