Taking their best shot

The Photographic Society recently hosted its annual competition, with the club's enthusiasts — few are actual photography students — nervously putting up their camera work for critique.

Jacek Stankiewicz (far left) was named eventual winner for his portfolio of landscape photos. Samantha Becker (second left) was the event's runner up, while Hendrik Camphor (far right) took third place.

Club President Janet Havemann (second right), who was elected for a second term (in 2003) on the night, was on hand to congratulate the winners.
