Reflecting on his first-year in office, University of Cape Town (UCT) Vice-Chancellor Prof Mosa Moshabela underscores the importance of nurturing gifted and talented students, many of whom face barriers that can slow their progress. He stresses that these obstacles – from financial strain to academic challenges – should not define students’ potential but rather be addressed with deliberate institutional support.

Moshabela further highlights that seeking help is not a sign of weakness but an act of courage and resilience.
