PhD graduate’s doctoral thesis champions the inclusion of people with disabilities in non-competitive sports

After being inspired by her supervisor’s experiences as a blind runner, PhD graduate Dominique Brand focused her doctoral thesis on the support or assistance given to people with disabilities in non-competitive sport.

Brand received her PhD degree during a summer graduation that took place outside the Sarah Baartman Hall and the Plaza on 14 December 2022.
