The University of Cape Town (UCT) celebrated Africa Month 2022 by hosting a two-part panel discussion in collaboration with International Jazz Day South Africa - centered around the theme “Language and music as agents of liberation and continental integration.”

Panel discussion two featured prominent artists and academics who examined and celebrated the legacy of Miriam Makeba in the year of what would have been her 90th birthday.
