Hi Prof Phakeng

I hope this mail finds you well. Like the rest of the world, we as Google were shocked and saddened by the recent fires that caused extensive damage to the UCT campus and the surrounding areas. I’m writing to you as Country Director for Google South Africa to pledge our support. One of the areas we think we could possibly assist in is, is the digitisation of your archives. Our Google Arts & Culture team is highly experienced in this area and would like to have an exploratory conversation with the University to see if there’s interest.
