As part of the University of Cape Town's (UCT) drive to save water and ensure the province's future water sustainability, Properties and Services has started to install new water-wise washing machines in its residences.

These new machines are saving a hundred litres of water per wash by cutting down the amount of water used per wash from 145 litres to 45 litres.
