Life’s difficulties must not define us – Dr Kisting-Cairncross

Dr Sophia Kisting-Cairncross, the executive director of the National Institute for Occupational Health, was the guest speaker and recipient of the President of Convocation Medal at the Faculty of Health Sciences graduation ceremony on Thursday, 5 April.

The medal is awarded annually by the President of Convocation to a past student who has made a remarkable contribution to society.

In her speech, Dr Kisting-Cairncross urged students to address issues of inequality and human rights to ensure today’s problems and uncertainties do not affect future generations.

Dr Kisting-Cairncross is the executive director of the National Institute for Occupational Health.
