The Engineering & Built Environment Postgraduate Students Association (EBEPGSA) held a fun day for all postgraduate students and staff from across the faculty on 7 September.

As postgraduate students sometimes feel isolated because of the fractured nature of research groupings, the main aim of the event was to get staff and students to socialise, network and interact in a relaxed environment.

Soccer teams were formed for each department, with the best soccer players proudly representing the respective engineering departments.

The electrical engineering soccer team proved to be the best soccer team in the faculty, and they were awarded the EBEPGSA Soccer Cup 2007. Tickets to the Bafana Bafana / Botswana soccer game were awarded to the best goalkeeper, the best overall goal scorer, and the best female soccer player.
