Well done: Vice-Chancellor and Principal, Prof Njabulo S Ndebele, addresses UCT staff and students during a cocktail function at his residence.

Vice-Chancellor and Principal, Professor Njabulo S Ndebele, held a cocktail function at his Glenara residence on 20 August to hail the "good work" done by various UCT staff and students.

Ndebele met with 40 "valued members" of the UCT community who have been in the news lately or have made a significant contribution to UCT in some way.

"We are a huge campus with not many opportunities for people in the UCT community to meet," Professor Ndebele said. "My intention is simply to have us gather, mingle, and get to know one another a little more, and hopefully to enjoy doing so. Despite that we have achieved so much, we could do more if people interact with one another. I expect more creativity resulting from sharing ideas."
