Five star staffers sought

Is there an unsung hero or heroine quietly toiling away in your department, laboratory, library or lecture room, someone you immediately think of when little phrases like "going the extra mile" pop up? We at Monday Paper would like to hear about these stalwarts for a weekly column we plan to run, starting next week.

Experience has taught us that many such staffers tend to be no-nonsense, get-on-with-the-job types who are often publicity shy. That's why we need you to alert us. Simply, our plan is to recognise their sterling undertakings, find out what makes them tick and bring the story to you, our reader, in a weekly column. And, on a campus as sprawling as UCT's, it helps us put names to faces and learn about other departments, an integral part of our internal communications endeavour.
