In remembrance: Ruddy Bigabwa

13 October 2017 | From the VC's Desk

Dear students and colleagues

It is with great sadness that I inform you of the death of Mr Ruddy Bigabwa (23), a first-year Bachelor of Science in Construction Management student whose body was discovered in his off-campus room on Tuesday, 10 October 2017. Police are investigating the circumstances leading to his death.

Staff in the Department of Construction Economics and Management say Mr Bigabwa will be remembered as having a quiet disposition and for being friendly, really likeable and kind. He is described as a person who always had a smile on his face.

The Department of Construction Economics and Management had not yet confirmed the memorial service and funeral details of Mr Bigabwa at the time of this communique.

We convey our deepest condolences to his family and friends. The Department of Student Affairs’ Executive Director Dr Moonira Khan and I met with family members yesterday and continue to offer support to the family during this difficult time.

Sincerely

Dr Max Price
Vice-Chancellor
