In remembrance: Kate Hunter

14 July 2016 | Campus Announcement

Dear colleagues and students,

It is with deep sadness that I inform you that Kate Hunter, the Manager of the Graduate School of Business (GSB) Library at the University of Cape Town, died on Tuesday, 11 July 2016, of complications from myelofibrosis.

She is survived by her husband, Dr Alistair Hunter, who teaches Radiation Medicine in the Faculty of Health Sciences at UCT, as well as her parents, John and Maggie Ferguson, and her brother Patrick.

A memorial service is planned at Erin Hall in Rondebosch on Friday, 15 July 2016, at 15:00.

On behalf of the UCT community I extend heartfelt condolences to Dr Hunter, the Fergusons and their family, as well as to colleagues in the GSB on this sad loss.

Sincerely

Kylie Hatton
Acting Executive Director
