Solution Space fintech start-up weekend

The Graduate School of Business (GSB) Solution Space and MTN will host a fintech start-up weekend from 17 to 19 August.
Fintech is seen as one of the hottest sectors among newly emerging businesses.
“The event is for designers, developers, creatives, business people – anyone open to radical collaboration and looking to sign up to work with people with different skills, perspectives, backgrounds and points of view,” said Solution Space manager Sarah-Anne Alman.
Partners include Rise Cape Town, Nona, Lean Iterator, Silicon Cape, We Think Code, Vega, J Walter Thompson, AIFMRM and Workshop 17.
On Friday, 17 August, participants will pitch an idea and then form teams around their ideas. The top teams will develop their ideas over the weekend and pitch them on the Sunday. The top solutions stand a chance to receive further support from the Solution Space and MTN through mentorship, co-working space and participation in masterclasses and clinics.
Participants must register by 15 August.
