Financial update: UCT receives clean audit opinion
Following the University of Cape Town (UCT) Council meeting held on 13 June 2026, I would like to share a brief update on the university’s financial position, based on the Annual Financial Statements (AFS) for the year ended 31 December 2025 and the management accounts for the period ended 30 April 2026.

UCT’s sustainability impact ranking and other updates
The University of Cape Town (UCT) has once again been recognised as one of the world's leading universities in the Times Higher Education (THE) Sustainability Impact Rankings, placing 102nd globally and securing top 100 positions in nine of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
