The thrill of graduation was on full display as students from the Faculty of Law at the University of Cape Town (UCT) walked across the stage in the Sarah Baartman Hall on 8 September. Family and friends waved from their seats, shouted at the top of their lungs and helped usher every graduand through applause during the afternoon session. Graduates were reminded by the presiding officer that as one chapter came to an exciting end, another one was emerging – one that not only welcomes them to a vibrant UCT alumni network, but one in which they commit to a new era of learning. “Once you have healed from this, I urge you to continue learning, as it does not stop here,” said Vice-Chancellor Professor Mosa Moshabela.
