Report of the Professor Mayosi panel

The University of Cape Town (UCT) Council, at its meeting of 20 June 2020, considered the report of the Professor Mayosi panel and resolved to accept the report. Council thanks the panel for the detailed consideration of the issues as comprehensively recorded in the report. Council again pays tribute to the late Professor Mayosi, certain that his life and work should be a reminder of the kind of future that UCT must continue to strive to build, and that his painful passing should not be in vain.
The report of the panel is now available, with thanks to panel members Professor Thandabantu Nhlapo, Dr Somadoda Fikeni, Professor Pumla Gobodo-Madikizela and Ms Nomfundo Walaza.
In lasting memory of Professor Bongani Mayosi.
